Legacy Stitches: Made You a Hat
Your First Wearable Project
It's time to turn everything you've learned into something you can wear or gift to someone special.
In Made You a Hat, you'll complete a baby-sized crochet hat from start to finish. This smaller project allows you to practice the same techniques used in adult hats while giving you the opportunity to complete a finished wearable during class.
Using the skills you've built throughout the Legacy Stitches series, you'll learn how to follow a pattern, work in the round, shape a hat, and finish it with confidence. Once you understand the process, you'll have the knowledge to create larger sizes on your own.
By the end of class, you'll leave with a handmade baby hat, a printed pattern, and the confidence to make many more.
What You'll Learn
✔️ How to read and follow a beginner-friendly crochet pattern
✔️ How to measure and understand gauge
✔️ How to work in the round
✔️ How to shape the crown of a hat
✔️ How to finish a wearable project neatly
✔️ How to adjust a simple hat pattern for different sizes
What You'll Receive
✔️ Crochet hook
✔️ Yarn for your project
✔️ Printed hat pattern
✔️ Hands-on instruction
✔️ Individual guidance and support
Prerequisite
Completion of Starter Stitch, Next Row Ready, Shaping Things Up, and Round & Around or equivalent crochet experience.
More Than a Crochet Class
Legacy Stitches is about slowing down, creating something with your own hands, and enjoying the process. Whether you come with friends, family, or on your own, you'll learn a new skill in a relaxed, welcoming environment and leave with the confidence to continue your crochet journey.

Students who choose to donate their hat may participate in the Legacy Hat Project, an ongoing initiative by My coco | nana to provide handmade baby hats to local organizations serving infants and families in need.
Participation is completely optional, but every stitch has the potential to become part of someone's story.
Ready to Make Your First Wearable?
Whether you leave with a keepsake, a heartfelt gift, or a donation for a family in need, you'll walk away with more than just a finished project; you'll leave with the confidence to create many more.
Reserve your seat and stitch your first wearable with Legacy Stitches.
